I just wanted to complement you on programming Gridwars 2. Also, it was a good choice to distribute it (at least when I downloaded it) as a single runnable executable (or an installation file which contains an executable). I have emailed it to myself (about 6 years ago, when I was in high school), which makes it easy to download and play even when certain sites are blocked by certain internet connections. I didn't play the game in my high school, (I did test it out) but I liked knowing the fact that I COULD play it if I wanted to. I DO play the game at the day program (Bancroft NeuroRehab) which I go to on the 5 weekdays. Thanks again for making Gridwars 2; It is a lot of fun and the graphics/effects are great!

A combination of playing Counter Strike Source, Age Of Empires III and your Grid Wars 2 contributed towards the failing of a year at University. Even now, repeating the year, I find myself up in the early hours playing. Grid Wars 2 is simply amazing and I congratulate you for the prodution of what has to be one of the best games ever made. There are so many times I'm being chased down by multiple Ivan's and am just a millisecond away from having to bomb the lot and lose a 7x multiplier but somehow worm away by quick zig-zagging. Other times having to force my way along a side as everything closes in on you, searching for a way back into the centre and thinking you're safe before an ambush of Sammy's appear to cause you even more problems. I think the only down side to the game is the music. Though the track goes well, it can seem a little repetitive. I leave WinAmp open and Sandstorm by Darude and Acid 8000 by Fat Boy Slim make awesome tracks to play to. I have a few questions about scores. Are equal scores on different difficulty settings comparable (I only ever play on Hard as the gameplay is too slow on easier settings)? In the same sense, can equal scores from playing on different Field Sizes/Screen Sizes be called equal? I haven't really experimented with trying different controls as I immediately settled on the Hybrid setting but I noticed from the highscores file that you favour Dual Analog controls. Do any of these settings make the game easier or harder to play? My current best is 2600385 in 35 mns, 17 secs on hard on Version 5.4, Screen Size 1280X1024, Field Size 1800X1440 Sorry to have written you an essay, but the fact that BizarreCreations had to get you to remove the game just shows how much better your version is than Geometry Wars. Good luck with future productions.

GRID WARS 2 RULEZ!!! My brother had just bought Geometry Wars for the Nintendo DS, and although i only played the sample version, i was just loving it. i had my DS on, charging overnight, sleep mode when not playing, for 3 days straight, just to avoid having to re-download it from my brother, a twenty-second process. I loved how its simplicity contrasted its intensity and intuitivity and could not put it down. With the innovative controls of the DS system, this game immediately became my top favourite over the world's greatest. That is, until i found yours. Now it's number 2. W00T WOOT GRID WARZ!! Have you sent it to/talked to the makers of geometry wars? I really want to see the game go commercial and professional ASAP. I really, really want to see the game on DS, the DS' controls are too perfect for the game to not be used by them. But most of all, i want to see more of your work take the world by storm. Thanks for the game :D Some slight issues: -Ivan the Interceptor is too slow. He was my favourite adversary in Geo Wars because of his amazing speed and homing capabilites. Of course, he was so fast and tricky that you had to be lucky to see him before he hits, and most players drop the bomb on sight of Ivan the Dread, but it was so much fun to zip around him and hit his blind side. - The light that Dwight the Black Hole creates is too much for me. Every time i try to farm him, i have to get so close to hit him that i cant see and i get blind sided by a tiny blue triangle. EVERY SINGLE TIME. So instead i just avoid activating any Dwights i see and go for the less sophisticated approach of mass murdering all the other enemies for points. Of course, after about 15 minutes of this it gets incredibly complicated, however intensly fun. I'd like it if black holes were more black and less white glare, please. I think the problem is the holes attaching in groups, touching each other. It's funny, i thought they were supposed to absorb each other, not play ring-around-the-rosie-pockets-full-of-strobe-lights on me. Again, AWESOME job. Good luck with any other projects you might have. But, seriously, u could go retail on this and get rich, it's so good. I mean, I'D buy it.

Grid Wars is Great, no. Its not just great, or even incredible. I truly belive that it REALLY is better than Geometry Wars. I like the no level design. The pacing is just perfect. Even GeoWars doesn't give a sense of impending doom like Grid Wars at the higher levels. BEST part of Grid War is RESOLUTION and scalable playfield. Well, you made some great decisions when cloning this game. It is an impovement in may ways over the orginal. Great Job!! You should be proud that you're making them sweat over intellectual property. I recently flipped through a Games for Windows magazine and found that they had a free games section where they demo free games online. Yours was not in there, but there was a crappy Geometry Wars clone. Apparently, only games that does not surpass their own intellectual properties in quality and design get a free plug in their magazines. Keep up the good work. I'm glad that someone has your game for download some where in the wired. I hope others will find this gem as well.. Thanks for all your work.

Sorry you had to take Grid Wars down. Whether they had IP or not, the coding that went into that blows my mind. If only they realized that half the reason their game is so popular is because of Grid Wars, maybe they could've worked something out with you. Looking forward to other great games, though! Good luck-

I stumbled on your site by accident. I am hoping you can help me. I am travelling to Frosinone in December of this year to re-visit Patrica and an area known as "Tomacella" near Patrica. We had good friends who ran a small bistro at Tomacella in the 1970's and his name was Carlos Bufalini. Do you know if he is still living? I have heard that the bar was expanded and is now a hotel. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested, I have posted pictures of our time at Tomacella, as well as two pictures of Mr. Bufalini at my home/profile page. Please visit : http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=75420992 to see the slideshow. Thank you - you have a wonderful site. Nancy - aka St. Julien

SWEET! I've broken the 3 million mark on medium in Grid Wars. There went 40+ minutes of my time... Awesome job on the clone, by the way. Keep up the good work! I've written a game deconstruction document based upon the game for one of my classes. If you would like to read it, give me a holler. It should be noted that I had to keep the deconstruction at 1000 words or less, so it's not a complete deconstruction of the game. The paper focuses on the symantics surrounding the increase in difficulty when the game is set on medium. Again, good job Mark! Now... back to GridWars.
